Lip Oils

Lip oil is an oil-based lip care product, combining the benefits of lip balm, lip mask and lip gloss. Clarins lip oils are specially formulated with a trio of plant oils to revive, plump and protect lips all day long. The high concentration of Jojoba, Sweet Briar and Hazelnut oil instantly locks in moisture to add an incredibly lightweight shine and tint.

At Clarins, we have 8 sheer tinted lip oils available for you to choose from. These include 5 pH reactive shades (03 cherry, 04 pitaya, 05 apricot, 08 strawberry & 10 plum), which react to your lips' pH level to achieve a natural lip-stain effect. For extra nourishment, our honey shade (01) Lip Oil can be used as an overnight sleep mask.

A lip oil can treat, nourish, hydrate and smooth your lips. If you have chapped and flaky lips, lip oil is the perfect lip care. Lip Comfort Oil, with ingredients like sweetbriar oil, hazel oil, jojoba oil and other plant oils, works as a lip treatment that revives your lip all day long.

If you want an extra hint of colour, we also have tinted lip oils in cherry, pitaya, apricot, strawberry and plum. Your lip will have a custom lip-stain effect and mirror-like shine.

1. Use it on its own for a hydrated, vibrant and glossy finish. You can use lip oil as often as you like, but due to its moisturising benefits you may not need to use it too often in one day.
2. You can use it before bed for hydration whilst you sleep.
3. Apply our Lip Comfort Oil over a Clarins Joli Rouge lipstick for a long-lasting, intense colour.
4. For an effortless, natural and clean look, you can use a lip liner to define your natural shape, then add a touch of similar tinted lip oil.

Lip oil is more of a lip care product, while lip gloss is lip makeup. Lip oil can be better than lip gloss if you’re looking for a naturally hydrating, pigmented lip product without the stickiness. Clarins lip oil, with its unique cocktail of nourishing plant oils, gives hydration and a plumping effect while still bringing the shiny and glossy look of lip gloss. While lip gloss is better for long wearing, highly pigmented, and fragrant products, constant use may make your lips feel dry and chapped, which is why lip oil is a great product to have on hand.

You can use lip oil daily as it has a lightweight and non-sticky texture.
